Is "Burnout" One Word or Two?

I'm just looking at new stories and going "um, no". Because when I read new stories, I end up reading a lot of crappy stories and just no. I cannot, right now. I read a cool new Sentinel story yesterday and then two SGA fics that jumped the shark midway through (supergenius!secret!child and what looked like 10,000 words of some pretty reckless therapy (which is an Issue for me), respectively) and now I am like NEW = BAD, FAMILIAR = GOOD. So I'm reading some old Sentinel and SG-1 fics, because they are classic and whumpy and predictable. I love the Jack/Daniel euthansia story, guys, it is simultaneously everything wrong with and everything wonderful about Jack/Daniel fic. It's pretty impressive. Oh, or the Sentinel story with the persecution and the secret novelist identity.

Basically, I would love some Sentinel or SG-1 hurt/comfort recs, because at least that way I know I'll get something good or at least something bad in an awesome way, instead of things that make my soul cry.
