Feelings Are Complicated
Totally sad about Janis Joplin dying of an overdose, especially so young.
Totally still find her high as balls speech at the end of Ball and Chain hilarious. Like, I could recite it along with the cassette when I was still in grade school, that is how much I heard Janis Joplin as a kid. Admittedly, I thought "cat" was a feline and not a dude, and the "it's all the same fucking day, man" bit was confusing until I realized she was talking about time zones, but still.
