Not Dead! Just Crazed
Okay, so it may seem like I've gone from spamming y'all madly to not posting at all. But nothing is wrong! Okay, yes, I'm getting the Random Tingles of Foreboding, but I'm sure that's not significant in any way. They are only occasionally accurate.
Anyway. I'm actually posting scads, I'm just locking it all because it's rec50 stuff and not yet ready for the eyes of Man. Or Woman. Or Neuter or Hermaphrodite.
Seriously. I'm doing that thing, where I become briefly but madly enamoured of organization and make all kinds of lists and unnecessary subcategories and, occasionally, even tables. So I have 12 posts y'all can't see that I am constantly updating with things like new recs and new stats for the individual rec sets and new stats for the rec sets as a whole. And also with a stream of stories I can't rec because some bitch got there first. TWICE in the last week have I had to drop Xander stories from my set because they'd just been recc'd. And they were good stories! They were, in fact, two of my favorite stories, hence their inclusion in version 1 of my set. I'd tracked down rating and word-count! I had chosen excerpts! But whatever.
I'm mostly working on the HP recs because 1) I'm totally signed up for that now, 2) no one is usurping my recs in this fandom, and 3) I get to feel that immense love for my own cleverness much more often, because seriously? Seriosuly, people, no one has recc'd The Most Ridiculous First Name I've Ever Heard? Or Unthinkable Thoughts? It's Unthinkable Thoughts! It was my go-to HP story for going-on two years!
And wow, I feel really bad for recc'ing so many really popular couples. Like, I'm recc'ing ten Xander/Spike. My next most recc'd couple? Xander/Buffy, with a whole three recs. And then I've got 15 Harry/Draco, eight Remus/Sirius, and then one or two each of a handful of other couples.
And I want to rec more threesomes. As I believe I've made more than clear, I am a rabid fan of the polyamory. And yet I've only got three different HP threesomes (Harry/Draco/Ron, Harry/Hermione/Ginny, and Harry/Hermione/Ron, which is practically canon and should therefore be much more heavily represented in my set). And I've also got three Buffy threesomes, which is practically criminal when you think about it. Because somebody else already did Small Fry, I'm down to one Xander/Anya/Spike, which makes the baby Jesus cry. And I likewise have only one Xander/Jesse/Willow, which is the best AU threesome ever.
But what makes me saddest are my measly two Xander/Buffy/Faith stories. They are an OT3 for me, y'all! And yet, so rare. Well, okay, I've got the two X/B/F stories and Lover's Reciprocation, which has three universes containing Xander/Buffy/Cordelia/Faith, Xander/Buffy/Faith, and Xander/Buffy with hints of future Xander/Buffy/Faith. But they are all by the same author, and that makes me sad like the death of Santa Claus, because they are the best, hatesexiest OT3 in all of fandom.
And I am entirely lacking in Xander/Anya/Andrew, Xander/Angel/Spike, Xander/Buffy/Willow, and Xander/Buffy/Dawn. And okay, I've never actually seen that last, but you know it'd be awesome.
Anyway. Just wanted to be all "I'm alive!"...Back to the salt mines.
