No Silver Lining Without a Cloud
Bad news: Juggled my schedule today and I am now working SEVEN days in a row instead of six.
Good news: Being off next Saturday instead of next Thursday means I get to go to SoonerCon - 2010: A Bubba Odyssey. Confession: I totally decided to go when I saw all the Trek panels. Okay, and also "Redneck Hall of Fame: Great Bubbas in SF/F" and "Zombies vs. Bubbas"; I am sensing the influence of Yard Dog Press and I heart it. I'm actually disappointed not to see "The Merlene Show" on the program; that shit is hilarious.
I just really hope it's better/more fun than Conestoga was last year, and that I can maintain this "I WANT to socialize!" mood that long. I want more meatspace friends (I am kind of baffled as to how adults usually make new friends? Like, the one person at work with vaguely similar interests is a raging homophobe, so, NO).
Anybody else gonna be there?
