Okay, so I want to work on the lists, because earlier today I filled twenty-something prompts and it felt good and I would like to do some more of that. But I am drawing a mental blank.
Also, I am sorry I uploaded all that stuff to what is apparently a jackassy site; I'd no idea they had a download cap. But I tried a half-dozen sites and they all hate me but Sendspace and Sendspace has those new upload caps. Shame, because I'm moving to the other housing tomorrow and so will probably be unable to upload things for a few days.
Anyway. My mental blank. I cannot think what to do with the unfilled prompts. If anyone has a particular fandom or pairing-whatever or situation they'd be interested in seeing, this would be the time to mention it.
In the meanwhile, I'm kind of in love with some of these story/prompt pairs. God, that feeling when you get the perfect story for the perfect prompt, where ever-after you get a little glow looking at them? That's why I keep doing this. That's why I made the comm. I mean, yeah, I'd love if other people were doing it, too, so I'd have new stuff to read, and yeah, I have always, will always, be a compulsive reccer, because if I love something I want as many people to find and love it as can. But mostly, this is addictive, and crazy-making, and fun.
So. A selection of my favorite pairs (from the three running sets):
Endless Desire: Oh Comely (Buffy/Giles) [BtVS] {I will never be able to use this prompt without thinking of this story.}
Pure Like Triangles: Love Will Keep Us Together (Wes/Lilah) [Angel] {Okay, this story's pretty much the opposite of pure.}
The Saddest Lines: be able to stop (JC/Joey) [Popslash]
Leave the Dead to Death: Conviction (John/Rodney) [Stargate Atlantis]
Cry to My Heart's Content: Edging Toward Enough (AJ/Howie, AJ/Sarah) [Popslash] {First BSB fic I ever read...which I did yesterday. So, y'know, no gurantees on the characterisation or anything.}
Comforts Other Than Love: The Road to Hell Is Paved With Good Intentions (gen) [Grey's Anatomy]
A Modern Love Poem: These Comedians (Jack/Jonas, Jack/Daniel) [Stargate SG-1]
Freedom's Just Another Word: The last full measure of devotion (Various) [Stargate Atlantis]
Not a Crowd: Deriving the Prime (House/Cuddy/Wilson) [House]
Dirty Love: Granted (Justin/JC) [Popslash] {I was totally going to go with the Crazy Space Incest for this one, but then I read this and it felt so fucked-up and sordid that I couldn't resist.}
Identity Crisis: Claim Her Own Skin (McKay/Cadman) [Stargate Atlantis]
Epistolary: Like Myself More (Ethan/Giles, Giles/Buffy) [BtVS] {I love this prompt. I always end up with a half-dozen stories I want to fill it with.}
Fetish: Kicks (Justin/JC) [Popslash]
Vicarious: Scheherazade (gen) [Stargate Atlantis] {I'm pretty much just amazed that I didn't end up using porn for this one.}
Godless: The Things Which Are Caesar's (gen) [Stargate Atlantis] {Five Things story! They are my weakness.}
And, though I'm not as particularly pleased with this as I was with the others, I do love the story:
Family: The Most Important Meal of the Day (Izzie/Addison, Meredith/Derek) [Grey's Anatomy] {Seriously, ridiculous love.}
ETA: Also, hey, I am curious; do the poetry prompts hold up if you're unfamiliar with the poems? Because I think they do, but I've read my World Poetry anthology so many times that it is impossible for me not to know that abscence is a description of love, a modern love poem.
