Reason #136 I Love Bandom

The awesome, awesome ladies. Some of my fandoms are...bashy, shall we say, when they think girlparts might distract their mens from each other.

But bandom doesn't seem to villainize anybody! It's awesome! Well, okay, Bert McCracken seems to be the exception. But I've yet to see him made out to be more than a jackass, so really, still not even close.

OMG, I was reading this fic yesterday and it had me tearing up over Bert and Gerard's star-crossed love, I don't even know. I want more but it all ends so badly I can't take it.

It's SAD and WOE. But things ended up pretty good for Bert in the end, and...Gerard is the kind of guy who isn't happy except when he's miserable, so really it's...a happy story? I'M BAD AT SELLING THIS PAIRING.

Oh, I'm sold, it just HURTS ME. I read a lot of doomed pairings but they all have at least one happy-ever-after fic, while this...not so much. I'd go for meet-and-reconcile-in-the-nursing-home, ANYTHING, seriously.
