It Kind Of Makes Me Feel Like a Bitch, But
I having way too much fun sketching out the Caveat Lector list. I'm wracking my brain for horrible/awesome stories and having some eureka moments ("The awesome h/c time travel with the flaming purple fivesome sex! The Xander/Chase that had a dozen h/c scenarios all smooshed into one story! HARRY MARRIES VOLDEMORT FOR PEACE EPIC, oh god!"). Also there's the pretty good, widely recced story I'm putting on there because I like the end! But I literally cannot read the first quarter or so because the dynamic HORRIFIES me.
I am just a little. Being on this list is not an unmixed compliment, and fandom is sometimes not good with unmixed compliments. But I really like these stories! They are just also...flawed. Like, the time travel thing? I have read it probably 20 times; I find it incredibly satisfying, emotionally speaking, but objectively? I've never been able to rec it. I'm just not sure I'm going to be able to fully convey the "I heart these, but they are maybe not for everyone" vibe I'm going for. IDK, it'll be a good time for me, anyway.
