Title: Rounding Complete Grace
Author: Victoria P.
Characters: Harry Potter/Hermione Granger/Ron Weasley
Prompt: First Time.
Rating: R
Length: Medium
Brief summary: I'm not sure how to summarize this. Harry and Hermione and Ron love each other so much that H/R/Hr stories alwasy feel a little inevitable to me, and this story strikes that chord exactly, and is absolutely lovely while doing so.

Title: When It Alteration Finds
Author: Victoria P.
Characters: Remus Lupin
Prompt: AU.
Rating: R
Length: Long
Brief summary: Four things that never happened to Remus and mostly, that's a good thing. Remus as a Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, fugitive. Oh, and slash, if it matters.

Title: Unthinkable Thoughts
Author: Aidan Lynch
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Angst.
Rating: R
Length: Epic
Brief summary: For years, this was my go-to Harry Potter rec. It's at least half of the reason I love fandom cliches so much, knowing that someone can take them and write a story this good. Magical love bonds and miscommunication and teenage angst combine in this H/D classic.

Title: What She Wants
Author: kai
Characters: Hermione Granger/Severus Snape
Prompt: Sex.
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long
Brief summary: There's kink here, and a lot of it. A lot of it. But it's also a strangely romantic snapshot of the married life of Hermione Granger and Severus Snape.
Your knees are weak and shaking, sweat drips into your eyes, and one of your few functioning brain cells wonders if she plans to fuck you to death.
The other concludes that such an exit might be quite the opposite of horrid.

Title: The Most Ridiculous First Name I've Ever Heard
Author: Mousapelli
Characters: Remus Lupin
Prompt: Anger.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Short
Brief summary: I cannot express how utterly and bizarrely in character this seems to me, the idea of Remus having a very quiet psychotic break and then taking to apathy with a rather awe-inspiring completeness and vicious flair. Oh, and there's Remus/Sirius, but it's entirely off-screen and so very much not the point of the story.

Title: Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow.
Author: November Snowflake
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Love.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Epic
Brief summary: Draco has amnesia and Harry can't stop trying to fill in the blanks. This story's...spare, if that makes sense. It feels right, as if there's not a single wasted or extraneous word, and it's gorgeous. It also has a prequel, Tomorrow.

Title: Friend Like Me
Author: Ladyvader
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Friendship.
Rating: NC-17

Brief summary: This is an odd story for me. I don't like it; it's too resolutely hopeless for me to like it. But it's very, very good, and I keep coming back to it.

Title: Rituals and Traditions
Author: Amanuensis
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Hurt/Comfort.
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long
Brief summary: Harry rescues Draco from Voldemort - with sex magic. And it rocks. It's hot and it's funny and the end...I have no idea if you were supposed to see that coming or not. It surprised the crap out of me and it was awesome.

Title: Lustre
Author: Calico and Julad
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Fandom Cliche.
Rating: R
Length: Epic
Brief summary: (Fandom Cliche: Psychic Bond.) Draco's father sends him a snake for his birthday. But when you're a Malfoy, it's never that simple. The story's gorgeous, of course, well-characterized and better-written. But what I'm kind of madly in love with is the plot. It's clever even as it exploits the cliches. Also, there's Parseltongue. Basically? Yay all around.

Title: Loved Those of Great Ambition
Author: Maya
Characters: Pansy Parkinson/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Character Study.
Rating: R
Length: Epic
Brief summary: A Pansy story that mae me hurt for her, and all of Slytherin. Because really, what would it be like when the entire school thought of you as the House of EEEVIL? And it's an absolutely gorgeous prequel to Underwater Light.

Title: Cliche #5
Author: Pru
Characters: Remus Lupin/Sirius Black
Prompt: Humor.
Rating: R
Length: Long
Brief summary: Snape decides to revenge himself on the Marauders. And it's the best thing ever. So funny I choked myself laughing and then it's romantic, too.
The problem with teaching someone with a deeply vindictive personality Occlumency was the inevitable problem of his using it to evil ends.
Combining the fact that Snape had a deep and dreadful loathing of the Marauders, James' recent revelation that he was a jolly homophobe and Sirius' recent revelation that he was mad over Remus (made simultaneously by Peter, who was then thoroughly thumped by all involved), nothing good could have possibly come of it.
The fact that Snape had a very deep, dark, secretive penchant for reading terrible Wizarding romance novels did nothing to improve the situation.

Title: The Morning Gift
Author: Pru
Characters: Remus Lupin/Sirius Black
Prompt: Crack!Fic.
Rating: R

Title: Contemporary Magical Innovations, by H. Granger
Author: kai
Characters: Harry Potter/Severus Snape
Prompt: Teamwork.
Rating: R
Length: Epic
Brief summary: The magic in this story is both original and interesting, and the format (academic paper interspersed with flashbacks) is surprisingly engaging. But those aren't the things that surprise me about this story...it's Harry/Snape. I don't read Harry/Snape. But I started reading it (not knowing what it was) and then continued reading it, just because this, this, is the story that smacked me around and made me buy Snarry, if only temporarily.

Title: Something Borrowed
Author: Victoria P.
Characters: Remus Lupin/Sirius Black
Prompt: Jealousy.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Long
Brief summary: During sixth year, Remus stops speaking to Sirius. And then has a fling with Lily. Things are fumbled, but don't stay that way forever. Wow, that's a crappy summary, but I don't want to spoil it; it's absolutely lovely, and it makes you feel so bad for both of them even as you struggle with the urge to knock their heads together because boys are stupid.

Title: Harry Potter and Dumbledore's Army
Author: Cat Calls
Characters: Harry Potter
Prompt: Light.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Epic
Brief summary: This story's got some of the less fun cliches, but makes up for it with solid writing, good characterization, and an actually really cool take on wizarding puberty. I mean, there are other good things - I like the handling of the DA, for one - but mostly? I really, really like the weird magical puberty and the wizarding prudery regarding it. There's an in-progress sequel.

Title: Underwater Light
Author: Maya
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Fight.
Rating: R
Length: Epic
Brief summary: Another classic. And for good reason! The relationships are exactly as weird and tangled as you'd expect; befriending (and falling in love with) your rival of years can't help but be complicated. There's banter and angst and cuteness and depth, which you don't typically find all in one story, and the secondary characters don't get short shrift, so altogther it's a story as rare as it wonderful. Also, hey! It's finished, which was a great surprise to me. And God, what an end. I'd been waiting two years to finish that story and you know what? It was worth it.

Title: Butter and Pigtails
Author: Silvia Kundera
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Epiphany.
Rating: PG
Length: Long
Brief summary: Draco and Harry figure out where the irrational hostility's been coming from. I have a weakness for clueless!schoolboy stories, and this has two schoolboys for the price of one! Also, it's funny and cute and wonderful, but mostly, clueless schoolboys!

Title: The things we did and didn't do
Author: Kyra Cullinan

Title: Kailash, When It Rises
Author: Mirabella
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Time.
Rating: PG
Length: Long
Brief summary: This is one of those stories I'd never read until I started doing this and wow, this one fic makes the whole thing worth it. It's...wrenching, to watch Harry slowly drive himself crazy like this. The uncertainty and tension and fear are so well-written you practically feel them along with him. The whole thing is flat-out amazing.

Characters: Hermione Granger
Prompt: Future Fic.
Rating: PG-13

Title: Without Rhyme or Reason
Author: Kindli
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Kink.
Rating: NC-17
Length: Epic
Brief summary: Draco blackmails Harry into sex. Kinky sex. Kinky-in-an-unexpected-way sex. But these things never stop at just sex. Which is why I love them. And I love use of Hermione as a deus ex machina; of course she has a book about it.

Title: Take It and Like It
Author: Sara
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Dream.
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long
Brief summary: Harry can't stop dreaming about Malfoy. And it is awesome.
There was quite a simple explanation for everything, Harry decided. The dream, the- whatever that was, in the shower.
He had gone insane.
Which was sad, really, because the sanity had served him quite well over the years. But there really wasn't any other explanation for what had happened. He'd closed his eyes, and then he wasn't in control anymore. Some evil force had taken over his mind, like a voice in his head, only with pictures and a taste for the obscene. Harry found that comforting. At least it wasn't his fault.

Title: Fidelius
Author: Constant Vigilance
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Secrets.
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long
Brief summary: Draco is Harry's Secret Keeper, and refuses to betray him, no matter what. This story is ridiculously romantic. It also has the most horrifying rape scene I've ever read. It's the only story I've ever consistently rec'd with a warning, but it's so good I can't help but recommend it.

Title: The Best Defense (sometimes "Harry Potter and the Best Defense")
Author: JoIsBishMyoga
Characters: Ensemble
Prompt: Crossover.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Epic
Brief summary: Crossover with Yu Yu Hakusho. As the author puts it, "Voldemort's return has caught the attention of more than the Order of the Phoenix. The Spirit World's best are on the case...". Story contains both het and slash pairings, and has a sequel in progress. I love this fic. It's got magic and intrigue, and action and romance; practically everything you could ask for.

Title: Harry Potter and the Inconvenient Condition
Author: Mirabella
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Vacation.
Rating: R
Length: Epic
Brief summary: Harry goes on vacation and, of course, gets into trouble. He then wakes up tied to a bed in St. Mungo's, a vampire. With Malfoy there, taunting him. And then it gets worse. Well, worse for Harry; so much better for us. This is seriously the best vampire!Harry story I've ever read. It's funny, and almost ridiculously hot.
"Hermione, come on, now you've gone mental. I can't stand Malfoy. He's a pointy git with a stupid drawl. And anyway, I like girls," he added virtuously.
Hermione, curse her, actually gasped. "Harry James Potter, God'll strike you dead for telling lies like that!"
"I didn't know you were religious," Harry said sourly.
"There are times," Hermione told him, "when no one is an atheist. In foxholes, on one's deathbed, and when Harry Potter claims to be straight."

Title: Oral History
Author: acadine
Characters: Padma Patil
Prompt: Family.
Rating: PG
Length: Medium
Brief summary: Good gen! Good gen featuring female tertiary characters! You should read it just for that; not reading it would be like seeing a unicorn and not trying to touch it. Not convinced? Then how about reading it for the exploration of ethnic heritage and magic in the Potterverse, which is as rare as a two-headed, purple, people-eating unicorn.

Title: Slackened Ties
Author: Annie Sewell-Jennings
Characters: Remus Lupin/Sirius Black
Prompt: Make-up.
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long
Brief summary: Sadly, there are no boys in eyelinder in this story. There is, however, Sirius being soppily stupid, Remus loving him anyway, and James singing disco. And porn that isn't make-up sex at all. Basically, it's awesome all around.

Title: A Sleep Like Unto Death
Author: Kick Flaw/Kicks
Characters: Remus Lupin/Sirius Black
Prompt: Kiss.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Long
Brief summary: Another tale of unrequited love. Sirius accidentally drinks a Fairy Tale Potion and can only be saved by true love's kiss. But Sirius (who's a Muggleborn in this story, written before we knew differently) doesn't love anyone. I admit it, I'm a sucker for steadfast, unrewarded devotion. But this devotion isn't precisely unrewarded.

Title: Dancing Queen
Author: Maya
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Denial.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Long
Brief summary: I love this story like little girls love tiny furry mammals: with a wholehearted glee that leads my voice to lift itself to previously unimaginably lofty registers, the better to burst the eardrums of insufficiently excited bystanders. It...Dudley! In leather pants! Forcing Harry to go to a gay club with him! Where they meet Blaise Zabini and Draco Malfoy! And then, impossibly, it gets better! And if you think those exclamation marks are excessive, you have clearly not read this story.
“Are you straight?” Malfoy inquired suddenly.
“Yes,” Harry said in fear and with all the vehemence he could summon up.
Malfoy beamed. “What a coincidence,” he said. “Me too.”
“Oh God, not another one,” Dudley said.
Blaise made an exasperated noise. “No you’re not, Draco.”
“Am too,” Malfoy asserted.
“Draco, you were just dancing onstage and being smeared with glitter as a drag queen licked your bellybutton!”
Malfoy examined his silver fingernails. “So? So what? I’m experimenting. It’s perfectly normal. My father said so.”
“Yeah, your father would,” Blaise said. “Does he always stroke up people’s legs with his cane?”
“Look, he’s a tactile person!” Malfoy snapped.
“With his phallic symbol?”

Prompt: Trapped.
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long
Brief summary: To quote the author's summary, "The Ministry has tightened up the regulations on werewolves and Remus finds himself the property of one Severus Snape." But, for once, such a story doesn't end in Harlequinesque romance and happy ever after. It's just one gut-punch after another as we see to what lengths a man will go for freedom.

Title: Double Dare
Author: Silvia Kundera
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Reccer's Choice
Rating: PG
Length: Long
Brief summary: Draco really doesn't like being told what to do. And he's just been told to avoid Harry Potter. Of course he does exactly the opposite.
Harry didn't think of something, which Draco supposed shouldn't be too surprising. There was a reason, of course, that this was the undesirable crowd. If they were capable of fun, all of his illusions and certainties about life would have been irrevocably shattered.
And then he might have had to experience a "change of heart", become an honorable Gryffindor, and start giving alms to the poor and his old robes to beggars in dark alleys. And that sort of thing only got a person viciously stabbed, at any rate.

Title: Hogwarts Apprentices I: Gentry Green (WiP)
Author: Lisa Roquin
Characters: Harry Potter/Seamus Finnegan
Prompt: Reccer's Choice
Rating: R
Length: Epic
Brief summary: Part of this story's premise is a cliche: one of Harry's parents (in this case, Lily) was more than met the eye! He therefore inherits awesome power. But this is done really well; for one thing, the power really screws him over, several times. And Harry's reaction to the manipulation in this story is both understandable and really, really fun. And I like that everybody here has flaws, even as they all have virtues. Okay, all of them but Fudge, Voldemort, and most of the Death Eaters have virtues. This story's rough in places, but overall, it's one of my favorites.
