To-do list...did not happen so much. I started some coding and then got distracted doing research for a She's Awesome post about Max Guevara. Guuuys, I love her so muuuuch, fuck the haters. Jesus Brought a Casserole still gives me fucking chills; it was the first episode of ANYTHING that ever really mindfucked me. DA was one of my baby-fandoms! I totally to this day OTP Max/Alec. Although sometime between when I first got into the fandom (Nuns With Pens! holy crap, those bitches were crazy/awesome) and now, there has been a weird surge of Max/Alec fic where Max is a total bitch who doesn't appreciate his awesome and she must be shown how wrong she is, and how much better he is than her, and how lucky she is he deigns to fuck her selfish ass. UM, NO, DO NOT WANT. Max! "Girls kick ass. Says so on a t-shirt.", badass, take-charge MAX. FUCK YOU, SHE'S AWESOME.

Also, Jessica Alba? Hot. But that season one ep with the red dress? HOLY SHIT, I THINK MY SCREEN CAUGHT FIRE.

DITTO. I think a lot of it comes from Jensen fans who tracked him back to DA as opposed to actualfax DA fans, BUT STILL. STEP OFF.

Now I totally want to go re-read all the epic Max/Alec fic I tore though, like, years ago. (also? it makes me sad to see Alec/Logan, and then I'm extra sad because I'm sad about someone else's pairing, because that never happens to me.)

I should have a Dark Angel icon of some sort. I don't know when I'd ever use it, but I still totally should.

ME, TOO. And I want to curl up with my DVDs for about a day. (I know! It is, like, the Fandom I Cannot Slash. Well, okay, I am totally up for some Max/OC heat/helping-a-sister-out sex, but I cannot do the boyslash at ALL.)

See, I love this one because it can stand for DA or the apocalypse! And I honestly needed a couple apoca-icons.

ship_manifesto is running some sort of hottest ships poll - and I honestly can't be bothered to look up what the structure is or how what's up with future rounds, but it's running at

shipmturns5 if you're curious - and Alec/Max just beat out... Angel/Xander in whatever round that was. Barely.

Maybe there are untold masses of Angel/Xander shippers, I don't know, but it made me a little sad to see.

(Also, apparently there is Boy Meets World OT4 out there? I'm not at all judging, but wow, did I not see that coming. I presume you are less sheltered, though, with all you read.)

I appear to not have a single apocalypse icon, either. Hrm. Defective.

Man, I can almost never do those kinds of polls; I am both a Max/Alec and an Angel/Xander shipper. Although A/X is at least half for the lulz.

(It seems like one of those everybody-ships-it-nobody-writes-it things; I've only ever seen the four broken into two happy couples of varying composition.)

This summer I may be in need of recs for those stories, the ones where she's awesome and Alec is ... whatever he is, if you have them on hand.

I am totally planning to search them back out; it's so much harder to find stuff you read before delicious/LJ! Especially when it was several computers/browsers ago.

About those fics you mentioned... Could you point me to any of the good old ones? I only recently watched DA.

I've got a few links up, but honestly, the bulk of DA reading was done pre-delicious/pre-LJ/pre-EVERYTHING, basically. I do totally plan to hunt them back up and rec them, though!
