Past Me Was a Moron

I totally should have made notes during my pre-Kindle Torquere phase. I now have a giant file of m/m ebooks in html format and none of them have summaries inside the book. And some of them are no longer offered by Torquere. Like, fully half of them I have no idea if I've read. Some of them are memorable in the not-good way - the terrible werewolf porn, the bestiality twincest threesome - and the good ones mostly ended up in my ebook post, but the middle of the road books? IDK.

Also all of them have giant warnings about "you can't give ebooks away" and it makes me cranky. If I can lend/gift my hardcopy books I should be able to do the same damn thing with these, since I have to PAY HARDCOPY PRICES. Like, I'm not going to be torrenting to the masses or anything, but fuck.

I am totally in an original m/m mood, y'all, and so many of these books are awful. And I tell you what, I hope Stormy Glenn has been in fandom at some point, because her crazy is our kind of crazy, you guys. It's the deflowered-werecat's-pheremones-make-his-mate-bigger (yes, like that, but also like "regular size Tom Hardy" vs. "Bronson size Tom Hardy") kind of crazy.

I WANT AN M/M EBOOK REC LIST. I AM TIRED OF PAYING FOR TERRIBLENESS.

ALSO, NO ONE SHOULD EVER BE NAMED QUILLIAM. I CANNOT EVEN FINISH THAT BOOK NOW. "...WHEN I'M MAKING LOVE TO YOU, YOU'LL CALL ME QUILLIAM.", ARE YOU KIDDING ME.

Stormy Glenn's crazy is right up my alley - my only complaint is that those titles I've read tend to be too short! which completely makes me sound like that loon complaining that "the food is so terrible, and the portions so small!" but it's true *g*

J. L. Merrow is my current favorite m/m author. And after putting it off for years, I finally tried one of Josh Lanyon's books and found it actually as good as advertised. Normally I try fan favorites and am totally disappointed approximately ninety-five percent of the time, so that was a pleasant surprise.

Sadly, I could come up with a list of anti-recs as long as my arm without breaking a sweat. (And yes, I am CONSTANTLY wondering if they wrote fanfic before they were published and if we ever crossed paths.)

It would definitely crack me up that's for sure! Do you want me to laugh here or am I supposed to find his horrible name all the wrong kinds of good.
