Okay, so I'm signing up for rec50 again. But only one claim this time! Harry Potter (General Series) again.

Mostly because I really, really want to rec Blood Magic. And Mismeasured Ingredients. And Bed and Board, and God of the Well-Plowed Fields, and jesus, Reads.

I thought about doing a second claim, but SGA would be far more trouble than I'm willing to go to, I'd drive myself crazy doing another Buffy claim, and Smallville was taken. And rec50's rules won't let me do crossovers.

In other news, I'm about twenty short of finishing my first prompt cluster. I'm missing working links for a lot more than that, but that's just because of my Internet Issues. It feels like I'm coming up on a wall, though. I cannot for the life of me think of a story for "Coup" that I haven't already used. I did manage to use zombies for "Corpses with the Names of Heroes", though. And "Instinct" has more zombies. I've also got tentacle-porn for "Some Quite Different Otherness".

The second prompt cluster has the one new table, and then several remixes. Three, I think? Prompting to the Count is a remix of the first four tables, Rewind, Revise is the next three, and Third Time Charming is all the prompts I'm using a third time. There may be one more.

Thank goodness. I need to take a round off, but I was just reorganizing my Harry Potter bookmarks and found some old favorites and had almost convinced myself to sign up for exactly that! Though I could maybe do 50 Snape stories . . . no. Just no. As much as I love reccing I don't have time this summer. Maybe next round.

And I should have time this fall to try reccing on list50. I like the different list options plus it looks much easier - I hate coming up with summaries!

This time 'round cannot possibly go as badly as last time. I hate doing the summaries, too, so I kept procrastinating and procrastinating on doing them, even though I'd already typed up everything else.

I ended up doing 88 recs in 48 hours! It was horrible; I just felt so dumb.

That'd be awesome! And yes, list50 is much easier. I did 13 lists in less time than it took to finish two rec50 claims. I'm also slightly ridiculously proud of having so many tables on offer, instead of only one.

Hi, I saw that you are doing Harry Potter for rec50 and have done it before.

Here's the thing, I'm looking for a really obscure Harry Potter fic that I read ages ago. I realize that you probably won't know it, but I thought maybe you could point me towards one of those ficfinder communities?

It was a short story, set after the war, everybody died and it's basically just the doctors in the morgue listing and identifying the charred remains.
