I want Harry and Draco both to live; everyone else, I don't want to know ahead of time. But if Harry or Draco dies, I want to be braced.

Gah. I can't even PICTURE. It seems pointless to me that either one of them would die, from a narrative standpoint--the whole point of Harry's arc is that he's becoming less of a sacrifice. And the courtship dance won't be done until near the end, right? It seems like cheap manipulation to commit us to a three-year process getting them together just to kill one or both of them off.

...or so I keep telling myself.
