Know What I Want Right Now?
Fic for Knockaround Guys. I am reading bandom mob/gangster AUs and I keep thinking "Knockaround Guys has the real mob".
The main character isn't as pretty as Gerard Way, but he's still awesome. Matty's daddy is a made man, big time, but all Matty wants to do is sports reporting! But no one will hire the son of a mobster. And then there are shenanigans with one of Matty's friends (played by Seth Green) and a fuckload of money. So he, his best friend/boyfriend/bodyguard Taylor (played by Vin Diesil), and another friend go to bail him out of it and there are corrupt cops who end kicking the shit out of Matty and driving Taylor into a kind of hilarious protective rage. Plots and counterplots and blah blah blah. Matty's friends end up dead except for Taylor, who gets shot but lives, and Matty has to kill someone he's known since he was a kid. So he and Taylor ride off into the sunset together. No, REALLY. It's pretty fantastic.
I need fic, but there is hardly any! And most of it is...not good. *sadface*
