The Amazing Disappearing Girl

RL stuff: I finally fixed the problem with my debit card! Apparently, they stopped the card because of "suspicious activity" (read = bought porn on the internet).

My dad horrified me today by mentioning that when I buy new tires, I shouldn't get the 70,000 mile ones, because the car won't last that long. I don't want a new car! I wanna keep my Oldsmobile! American-made and able to take crazy punishment! Y'know, except for the automatic windows.

I've been upgraded from "temporary" to "permanent" at Atwoods. Yay for avoiding another job hunt. And it's not a bad job. I'd just like it more if I could sit down now and then. And if there was more to do. Though that might not be a problem for long if they end up putting me in charge of the greenhouse. On the plus side, I'd go to full-time and I'd be plenty busy. On the minus side, it'd be 8 - 5 all the time, it's outside (freezing for two months, sweltering for three), and I'm not actually that good with plants.

In other news, I've been into original fic lately and good christ, some of this stuff! I ended up following Parhelion over to Torquere Press and bought this novel, Bite? I was all excited, "Anton loves a well-prepared steak. That's all he's hoping for when he meets Greg, his new live-in chef. The PsyCop series is good, though. I just want more of the good and less of the bad/mediocre/horrifying (don't get me started on the time-stream-as-merry-go-round story).
