Ripoff! Ripoff!

Y'all, I heart Bela Karolyi. Bela don't play. He will call shenanigans. And so far, I agree with him. Some of those girls are underage, and Chung Fei didn't deserve that score. Come the freak on, judges, she hit the aparatus wrong and she landed on one knee! That is not medal performance! Although, freaking rock out, Oksana.
Is it just me, or is age really a theme in these Olympics? Oksana, Dara Torres, Jason Lezak, some of the runners, and then they marvelled over the age of...Deferr? Spanish silver medalist in men's floor. He was awesome and so very happy with his silver. It was nice after some of the reactions. I know they're disappointed, but really, second best on the planet is not the worst thing to be.
And oh my christ, that poor Brazilian guy. Missed the landing on his dismount. He was just crushed. Really, NBC, give the guy some space after that, we don't need to be a foot away as he falls apart.
I was seriously rooting for the Romanian, though, because he pulled my favorite move of the night. After that first tumbling pass, when he just rolled backwards through a handstand? I know it wasn't near as hard as switching momentum like he did, but it looked so damn cool that that's what made me love him. That, and the way he finished that routine after the fall.
In conclusion: I kind of want to order the Michael Phelps DVD.
