Recently I have had an attack of the small fandoms: Psych, Generation Kill, The Mentalist, NCIS, Southland...
I am angry @ psychfic's no slash policy for two reasons! One, I don't like excluding slash and not het as if it's all icky (to put it another way, excluding all pairings = ok, excluding slash = I kind of assume you're a 'phobe, sorry) and two, Psych is a small fandom! Specialized archives make sense in a big fandom (aka, reason the first you didn't see this rant re: the XanderZone), but in a small one, how are you not happy for every single fic that's posted, whether or not it's to your personal taste? I'm thrilled every time I see Fastlane fic, even if it's just more parts of the horrible unsafe-BDSM epic! You know why? Because it means people are in my tiny fandom, people who might bring in other people, who might write stuff I like! Argh. I mean, your archive, your rules, but my fandom, my opinion.
I looked at some bunny-adoption comms on DW and I don't really want to put mine up because there's an exclusive kind of vibe, ie, I don't feel I could put them up while also continuing to take every opportunity to point anyone and everyone at my write it for me? tag and yell IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF THESE EXISTED OUTSIDE MY HEAD IN AS MANY FORMS POSSIBLE. Like, most of those I don't want written once, I would read Brendon Urie: One Man Band, Brendon Urie: King of Threesomes, and Patrick Stump: World's Angriest Kitten approx a million times. Okay, the kitten thing, maybe only eighty times, BUT STILL.
SPEAKING OF! Apparently reni_days totally and independently wrote a Bden: K of T fic and it was awesome, except for the not ending in happy forever threesome, but still, Brendon/Spencer, A++. And I kind of want to post a comment about how I have been asking for that fic for forever (in fandom time, I totally have been!), but I am afraid she would take it wrong and maybe see it as some kind of "I had that idea first" thing and it totally is not, I cannot textually render the absolute thrill seeing it gave me.
