What the fuck.
Jul. 12th, 2010 02:39 amOur local rental place is going out of business, so last week, I picked up the entire first season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, on Blu-Ray, for $21.89. Yay, right? I've never watched but always meant to, that sort of thing.
Tonight I started trying to watch and the Blu-Ray is outsmarting me. Possibly it is designed to do that as metacommentary, possibly my player's growing eccentricity was actually developing sentience and it enjoys irony, possibly it is nearly three in the morning and I am an idiot.
Mostly what it means is that I can't seem to access any kind of top menu that would allow me to turn on subtitles and I'm kind of pissed. A menu pops up? But it just lets me turn on commentary or view deleted scenes or view special features. I can't even select an episode, it's apparently just going to run as a three/four/five hour marathon (I can't even see how many episodes are on the disc!).
