(no subject)

So far the cleaning spree has uncovered many books I despaired of, several pairs of shoes I forgot I had, two entire sets of sheets, unopened packages of curtain valances, three bags of secret candles, the awesome trench coat I will never get rid of even if it never fits again, and money, in the form of $24 (American) + $5 (Canadian) + PENNIES EVERYWHERE, OMG. Also the most baffling picture I've ever seen - I'm kneeling on someone's living room, somewhere between ages 9 and 12, and petting what appears to be an actual fawn. Even IN the picture - which I don't remember - my chief emotion seems to be WTF. Still MIA: both of my cloaks (the Halloween-y one I once wore in a play and the awesome buttoned one for everyday use), my ballet slippers (both the pair I like and the pair I don't), the right half of my Sensible Red Business Shoes, and the left half of my Strappy Leather Flats.

So far I have cleaned out both dressers, my closet, the closet in the spare room, and my in-built set of drawers/cabinet and carted off to Goodwill two bags, five cartons, and two 32-gallon trash cans of stuff.

Also seven bags of broken/damaged, don't-need-it, and how-old-IS-that-candy? have been hauled off (I feel dumb? But I don't actually know what happens to the trash after it leaves the garage! It's just house -> garage -> back of Dad's pickup -> ???.)

Still to come: under the bed, the frankly intimidating pile that is the south wall of my room, the garage, and the shop.
