Today I bought a dress that makes no aesthetic sense at all! It is lovely, in the sense that I love it, because it is awesome to wear, but it is genuinely a bit hideous - completely black, giant sleeves like lopsided wings, the top fits like an actual sack, there is an elastic band right above my knees, from which falls the 18 (layered!) inches of skirt. Also, the top has an underlayer of close-fitting translucent synthetic with armholes stretching from shoulder to hip, I don't even know.

I think I want to wear it all the time.
